Learning microbiology can be as scary as the bacteria themselves! As a future physician, you will analyze a combination of observations of a patient's signs and symptoms, medical and personal history, physical examination findings and laboratory values to deduce a definitive diagnosis of an infectious agent.
We have created digital media resources, including medical microbiology maps "MedMicroMap", study guides, animations and case-based guides to orient you through the diagnostic thought process, based on involved organ system, onset, epidemiological clues in addition to the biological classifications of microorganisms.
The resources provided on this website are organized by general microbiology and by modules to help with your current studies and to help prepare for Step1 or COMLEX. Please contact me if you have questions or suggestions on how to improve these resources.
